San Marino Coins 2025: Art and History in New Issues
Like precious treasure chests that guard millennial stories, the new Euro coins of San Marino 2025 present themselves to the collecting world with a numismatic program that interweaves art, history, and innovation. The Republic of Titan confirms its tradition of monetary excellence, presenting a collection that ranges from sacred to secular, from art to environment.

The 2 Euro Commemorative Coins: Between Jubilee and Michelangelo
The Jubilee in Forms of Hope
The first 2 euro commemorative coin, created by artist Gabriele Di Maulo, celebrates the Holy Year with a modern interpretation that remains respectful of tradition. The allegory of Hope, represented by a female figure with an anchor, guides a child towards a bright star, symbol of salvation. The composition is enriched with geometric elements and the inscription IVBILAEVM, creating a harmonious dialogue between religious symbolism and contemporary art.

Michelangelo’s Genius in Numismatics
The second commemorative 2 euro pays tribute to the 550th anniversary of Michelangelo Buonarroti’s birth. The artistic choice, curated by Silvia Petrassi, falls on a lesser-known but extraordinarily beautiful work: the drawing of Cleopatra with the asp, created in 1535. A refined tribute that testifies not only to the artist’s genius but also to his ability to infuse life into matter.
The Elegance of Silver: From Wild Orchids to the Peregrine Falcon
The silver collection is enriched with particularly prestigious pieces. The program includes a 5 euro proof coin dedicated to Georges Bizet, where the power of Carmen comes to life through Daniela Longo’s talent. The Peregrine Falcon series continues with a new interpretation that portrays the raptor in a moment of vigilant observation, witness to the biodiversity that characterizes Mount Titan.

Special Celebrations: From Osaka Expo to San Marino Militia
A special chapter is dedicated to participation in Expo 2025 Osaka 1, celebrated with a 10 euro coin designed by Silvia Ciucci. The delicate flowering cherry branch represents a cultural bridge between San Marino and Japan. The San Marino Militia is featured on two 10 euro coins, where Antonella Napolione has captured the essence of the Gendarmerie and the Civil Police, historic corps of the Republic.

The collection is completed with a series of issues including the conclusion of the series dedicated to the Chinese lunar calendar and a special 5 euro brilliant uncirculated silver coin celebrating the wild orchids of San Marino’s territory, created by Chiara Principe.

This rich numismatic program for 2025 confirms San Marino as one of the most refined protagonists in the world collecting panorama, where each coin tells a story of art, culture, and centuries-old tradition.
